Monster and Marshmallows

Camping out in the forest at night, with nothing but silence around, the Boy was just toasting his marshmallows on a campfire. Meanwhile the green, big monster stealthily, crept out of the lake. Suddenly the little boy saw shadows, afraid he turns back. With fright on his face, the monster was ready to eat the little boy up. But when caught sight of the marshmallow he fell in love with it. Happily the little boy was relieved, feeding the monster and treating him like a dog. But that all over when he had no more marshmallows.

With a stomach half full with marshmallows, the monster sniffed at bag and started to growl. The Boy grabbed his pillow to protect himself from the monsters teeth. The monsters ducked his head and started drooling staring at the pillow. The Boy moved the pillow left and right, almost laughing as the monsters followed it. While the monster was distracted by the pillow, the Boy throw the pillow, and quickly grabbed a flaming branch from the fire and ran away.

The Boy looked back from a distance, burst out laughing as he saw the monster grabbing a stick and stabbing the pillow on the end. Then the monster toasted his pillow over the fire.

Net-Book Reflections

Having a net-book this past 2 years is really cool, and a awesome tools to use. I'm really learning a lot, mostly on maths and reading. We use site, that have on-line books, and helps us read faster and better. This Laptop is good for writing, because it better that paper and pencil. Also the Internet Connections is fast but sometimes it plays up. It useful when you take it to your home, it like your homework. I have no bad things to say about this, it all positive.

A day at the Christmas Parade

Waking up this morning, with a smiling, waiting for Johnny to come. Christian quickly got change, looking really fancy. Off they went down to the Christmas Parade to watch and enjoyed himself.

Watching the entertainment, Johnny went and bought some food.Christian was very hungry, his stomach was growling. While Christian was waiting, he was getting worried, he said “Where you Johnny,”

“As soon as Johnny,came back where's Christian?”Johnny ask to himself. But Christian was searching for Johnny. For a while they were all around looking for each other,  Finally, there he is.

Hay! “Is that you Christian”, Exclaimed John. “Yay, Finally I have found you, I was walking all around worried about you.” He said surprisely. "Now, we here, let go and have fun." said Christ, with big smile.

Toys

One of my favourite toys that I like and wish I had is RC Car, Helicopter and also Nerf Guns. If I was little boy, I would play all day with these toys. For big boys, I think they would like to play with bikes, and Play-stations, I know I would. Toddlers, they play soft things like teddy bears.

I remember when I had my first toy. I was only about 2 years old, it was Big, soft, bear. I really didn't like it very much but it was fun to play with. One my Favorited toys, is a remote control car, it was awesome, and I was only about 5 or 6 years old.I always play with it, it like something that I’m in love with.

If you had  to someone in your family a toy, what would it be? For me, I would make something that easy to make, and it fun to play with, for example slingshot, that would be heaps of fun.Also a crossbow out of paper or pencil.Maybe for kid a car made out of bottle. You can it for their Christmas present.

Reading Plus

Wow! Guess what? We have a new reading site, that helps us learn better and also read much more faster. It really helpful, it helps us with our test that we are doing and as well as comprehending. 

This site has heaps of stuff to do. It warms you up by a quick eye test, then it start with a book that you choose. After that, you spell the word that are going be in the story. It goes fast, so you have to read it as fast as you can. Then these bunch of question comes up, However you have to get at less 70% or more.

To me, I really like reading plus it helps me learn more about reading, and you know what, I am not good at reading. I like doing reading Plus. It awesome, you should try it sometimes!

Manaiakalani Film Festival

Waiting patiently, in my head I thought “When are we going, When are we going!”

We had a little playtime, after that we got ready and on the bus we go. We laugh, talk, but when got there, a few schools were there. Up the stairs and in the cinemas. We were sat down waiting for the introduction.

“Oh yes! It on.” The very first movie we watch was from Tamaki Collage and Pt England school. It was hilarious , the way they dance and sing. The next movie was Pick the right path created by Pt England. This was a lesson that you're not perfect or bad, you just need to think about your actions. When we left, there were many films that I like. Like The Test, One directions and Azonto. Too bad that we didn't see more, but it was cool. I'm looking forward to next year.

Tags Out Day

Waiting excitedly, to go to tags day out, I woke up and check outside. The weather was really bad, it was rainy like cats and dogs. He yawned” Oh! No! why is it rainy?”

Off I sprinted to school. He played for a while, and then he got change into his own gear.
He ask “ Mrs, look outside, it pouring with rain” then she answer “ No worries, we are playing somewhere else, and it would be sunny.”

We were lock and loaded, and off we went. We traveled for a long time but finally we made it. Many school were there, everyone were was warming up. “Yes! My favorite part, playing”

I was playing. We counted down, 5,4,3,2,1 and started. I ran, I passed the ball and try. WOW, it a try. We started getting score, and We won. We won most of our games, but we still had one more game, it was final.

They played against kedgley intermediate, when they played against them they were super good, they were like pros. But we still manage to score, we came runners up. It was a good, fun day. I am looking forward to next year.




 

James Victory

One year ago on 1976, James was really good at High jump until he got injured from one of his jumps he did over the pole. James was only 18 when he hurt himself from when he sprang off the ground to land on the mat.

After 3 year was gone James deceased that he would get back into High Jump. It took him along time to get the technique back together. James took about seven months to become a pro After winning and winning he finally went to the finals.

As his family and friends was shouting his name GO GO GO JAMES, GO. All the pressure was on him, this is his chance to make it through the finals.

But all of a sudden, He felt something wrong with him. James went to the Medical, They said, "OH!  there's a problem in your leg" what he said, was hoping he could still compete in the finals.

James yawed “ he would never give up, I CAN DO IT!” It was his turn, the crowd cheer for him. GO James! With a lot of pressure, James ran and jump. Everyone was silent, what a surprise, he made it, “O.M.G I made it” claimed James.

As he walk on podium and was presented his shiny gold medal. What achievement he has done. The crowd clap for him. What good day for him.

Lost and Found Beach...

It all started in 1998 as more and more people got lost in the so called beach so they named the beach lost and found.
10 YEARS LATER...
Sun shining and no cloud in the sky,  as hard working dad, James and his son Tyson was going to beach. As soon as they got there, the first thing that dad and Tyson did was just laid down and relax.

On the next day they all unpack their stuff, and a random person came and walked along the sand.Tyson said “ Hey you, what your name?”  

My name is Jack I just live across the road. I’m from a very large family, I grew up with my brother Nate and sister Aquata, and our Mother and Father split up a while back when we were young.

Well early that day Jack and Tyson, were swimming at the beach, now they became really close mates. Tyson knew that he has forgotten something, but he just couldn’t figure it out.”let go and get change,” Exclaimed  Tyson.  

Tyson remember that he had to go and fix the water tank. As him and Jack raced to his house. Tyson suddenly fell and smack his head on a rock. .His best mate Jack was calling for help, as the house was filling with water.

HELP HELP said Jack When Tyson was laying in the sand he was dreaming that he was on the ground. “WAKE UP  WAKE UP” wept James. Come on, time to go home James and Jack pick up Tyson took him home, “what a day” everyone said.

Going to Uta!

Early morning Dan,Rocky and Rachel went on a vacations and camp out near the biggest, massive mountain, Uta. They are Tories from Italy and herd this magnificent valley. Rocky said “ Dad, Mum can we climb up the mountain”.

While going up the mountain Dan Rachel and Rocky saw the amazing view. It was snowy, cold on top and was very slippery as they went up. When suddenly Rocky shouted “Help Help! I am going to fall”.

As Rocky was shouting, Rachel was panicking but Rocky was still hanging on. Dan struggle to grab his hand, as he tried to pull him up. It was very difficult because he was about to slip. Dan exclaimed  “just hold my hand and don’t let go”!

While Dan was holding his hand, Rachel remember that she had a rope in her bag. She quickly grab the rope, and gave it to Dan, then Dan tied the rope around his arm. “That was lucky” Said Dan. Rockey was relieved.

Blog Entry, Term 4

Oh well! Holidays is over and here we are, back at school. Arriving at the hall, waiting with excitement, I was thinking, what going to be our topic. When I saw many teachers dress up as toys, I wonder is it about toys. My guess was right, it is about toys stories this term. It mostly about your favorite toys that tells a story.

Repost Volleyball

“YEAH! I am going to Volleyball trials,” I said to my mates with Excitement. I was really happy, because I couldn't wait until Volleyball started. Also this is my first time playing a game.

Trials Day, I dashed into the hall, and was ready to play. YES!... finally I am on now! The ball came over strainge at me, I pop it up in the air and then, spiked. Hooray! We got a point.

Waiting nervously, I look up at the list of who’s in it. I seach downwards. Yes, I am in the team, Oh yeah

Playing Volley is pretty awesome, because I like spiking and playing on the court. This sport is a co-operating together and thinking game. You should try it sometimes, it very fun.

Repost Challenge

Last week, on Thursday September 6Th, I was thinking about my challenge. I thought for a wild. Suddenly something came up in my mind. "Oh! yes I know, I would try and shoot 5 in row 3 Pointers". Because I like basketball and I would like to try do better at shooting.

When I had time to go do my Challenge, I shot my first ball in, YES! But the next one, miss.I kept trying and trying, and guess what? I actually had 6 ball in the hoop, in a row. “OH YEAH”! I replied, to myself.

I achieve it, with some practice. During lunch time I sometimes shoot basket, at the court. Sometimes I play with my friends. Also I made a plan so I can get even better.  

My Challenge

Repost Paralympic

Paralympics, What is Paralympics? I have never heard of this, but when I research it on the web, there were many informations and one of them was, it is for the Paralysis people. I thought in my mind “Oh I wonder why it named Paralympics.

There are many different event that aren’t in Olympics, like Boccia(You throw a ball and who get's the closers to the White ball, wins)and Alpine(It like Snowboard or Skating on Ice). Also Bind athletic can also play Soccer. I watched some it, there are amazing, especially at controlling the ball. With out looking. WOW!

The flag has 3 basic colours that are cured, but it just like the Olympics flag. It means a lot. Those colours are Blue, Green and Red. These represent each and every Nations flag from around the world.

Paralympics

Paralympics, What is Paralympics? I have never heard of this but I research it on the web, and it is for the Paralysis athletics. I thought in my mind “Oh I wonder why it named Paralympics.

This is my Animation that I have made about the Olympics. It is not really finished but I think its ok. It is about a athlete running a race. Repost Basketball

Wow! I can’t wait until Tomorrow August 21st 2012, because we are going to a Basketball tournament, held at the ASB Stadium grounds. We hope we can win.

We arrived. As soon as we got there, we practice our lay-ups and passing. First game, This team was really taller than us but we never gave up. The other team had been beating us, but we came back. That was still not enough.

Our second game, we look silly when we played, but the last game was a fun one. Because we kept getting goal.Victory!

I felt happy even though we lost, but it was fun. I think we could do better next year. The funniest moment, was when we miss 10 goals, in a row however we had the rebounds and finally we score. Yes!

Cross Country

Oh! Wow, I can’t believe Cross Country is coming up. I have not been training very well but I have ran around the school sometimes now. I really hope that I do well.

I am really looking towards the Cross Country event, because it will probably be a fun day. I really like running.But long distance is not my thing.

My goal is to run as hard as I can, and try running the whole distance without stopping. I am trying my best at least to get in the top 15.

I will get back to you with the result that I have done so far in the Cross Country. Stay tune and come back later because I have more to tell you.

Beep Test

Do you guys know what a Beep test is? Have you ever tried this? It is simply running a 20 meter track, But there is nothing easy about it. It is like a running marathon!

Waiting with butterflies in my stomach, I was really scared.I am aiming to beat my highest score which is 7.8. That is my goal for this test. 

It is difficult jogging 20 meters and back. Running with exhaustion, I was puffing and puffing. I felt like I was going to die. As soon as I hit 8, I immediately fell down on the hard court.  

This was a tiring fitness exercise, however I really achieved my goal, Yes! Also I like it, I am really looking forward doing this again in the future.

A New Reading Site

Guess what! Our wonderful teacher Mr bark mange to find a new reading site. It called Reading Eggs. There are amazing stuff on it like the Mall, Comprehension Gym , and also Library. You can collect cards and trade them too.

One of my favourite book from that website is Identities and The House. These two books are the same but different part. You should read this books, it like a mystery book.

If you want my opinion, Awesome! Because it fun and also you learn a lot of knowledge.You should cheek it out.

Olympics Events

In the London olympics there are many events like Shot Put, High Jump, Long Jump and so on. There will been 300 events, also 205 county are attending these sport. Some of the events that I don't is like Judo, Water polo and Hand ball.


Judo is like an fighting events, you have to try and pin your opponents down. That counts as a point.
It looks hard getting them down on the floor.

Water polo was an swimming ball game. It like Soccer but with your hands. You throw it into the goal and you get points. I was watching one game between the Australian and the Britishness. Wow the Australian was super good beating Great Britain.

I would want to learn more all about these 2 event. Because it looks fun to play and maybe in future I would participate in it.

Olympics

The olympics rings “what does it means?”  I was searching online and I found some information. Heres what I found, It represent each different flag colours from around the world. Also it represent each continent.” Can you take look at this rings it goes over, under, over and under, It connects just like the real world.

This amazing olympics rings was made in 1913 by Baron Pierre de Coubertin. It symbols the IOC.(International olympics committee) It was similar to ancient Greece.

WOW! the olympics is at London in England. If I was to visit, I will go to many places like the Big Ben and Tower Bridge. These area are very iconic. The tower took many decades to built it. London is one of the best places in the world.

Term 3 Writing

Wow! it is nearly the olympics, two more week to go. This olympiad is the 30th time.
Have you seen the olympics rings, there are five of them. Each colours stand for each continent from around the world.

In the olympics one of my best events is sprint, hurdles, and relay.
Sprint is mostly what I really like, I want to see how fast they can run in the race.

My star in the olympics is the world's fastest man, he broke the record and he runs like the wind. His name is Usain Bolt. “You should see this man”.

This term I am setting myself a goal, and will work to it. So my challenge, is to run faster. Now I am training about 3 to 2 times a day. Hope you enjoy my writing.

Henri matisse

Henri matisse a french artist and also a sculptor, printmaker and a painter. He known for his use of colours. Fauve(Wild beast) is primarily what he likes scitching. Likely he use primary colors Red,Blue and yellow, some of his I like his patterns. I said to my buddy “ What a thing do you about Henri” as I said he strainge told 2 reason”I like the colors had it contrast and also the black outline”.

He likes working hard with his picture and was active. Back in the days he had a wonderful career.Matisse first open his own gallery of art, for decades many people thinks of as one of the greatest man at art.

My Favorited thing this term

Yes! it is nearly holidays, no more school time...finally.

This term we have one more week till holidays. Now we can have a break school. But this term we did some amazing stuff. These are the things I really like, Kiwi kick, we went to Tamaki college recenter.   

Kiwi kick is my favorite things that I like this term.  So let me tell you all the fun that I had, it started with a game .“flush” run!  After that warm up we got into a passing skill. One of the passes skill was drop-punt. My partner and I practices kicking to each other.

“Now it on” as I said to my mate, the game we played was bomb the teacher! It was a challenge  between the penguins and kiwis. As I stood up the penguins was locked and loaded. The penguins  kick, no one was good enough. The kiwis was ready bam! They kick, 3 teachers they hit. So now we lost.   

I am looking forward for next term, I wonder what we are study. Stay tuned because there's more to come...    

My favorite Place

Our topic for term 2 was Art Alive. We had a task set by our teacher. We had to take a picture of our favorite place around Pt England ground. Our class had to paint it in a artistic way.

I used my teacher’s camera and I took a lot of shot, but the one that I specially chose is this one. I got this photo because this is one of my favorite places around pt England area.

Picasso he is one of my favorite artist. I like his painting because it weird but it still interesting. I like his variety of mixture of colors. I am trying to make my picture occurred Iike his.

I really like my picture, it looks awesome but probably difficult to draw. It has lots of detail. I think I should put it higher to make it really like a bird view but let go with it.

Reflective writing on Novel

Reading an interesting novel about a little Indian in the cupboard. We had to read this because it was our task to finish by the end of this term.
Each group were given a story and had to write about their given novels.


Searching top to bottom I saw these names. Patrick, Omri, Gillon and Adiel. From reading this story I discovered Patrick was his friend and Adiel was his eldest brother and Gillon was his other one.    

While reading the novel begins, it was Omri’s Birthday and Patrick gave him a toy. From this sentence I was thinking, I said to myself “why would some mate give a secondhand miniature old indian toy”. They had lots of fun with these tiny toys when they were little.
They also had many collections.

On OmrI’s birthday he went  down a alley where there was large stacks of stuff. He tried many keys he had to open a cupboard. “None would open the cupboard” he said, but there was still one funny key that he opened with it.Popped open the doors as the indian toy started to talk not english instead a different kind of language.“Do you know how to speak a little bit of english” I wondered. “You should come with me! come on you should he said you touch me I will kill you”, yes but I just want to hold you. Omri was afraid from a real life toy that was holding a sword.   


Later on, I am really in the mood because I want to read more and more.  My thought of this novel is awesome It has big vocabulary which makes it more interestingly cool.

Henri Matisse

Henri Matisse is and french Artist he was known for use colours and his fluid. He was a Printmaker and a sculptor. His artwork was very popular and was kind of like Picasso. He was more interested in Wild Beast in french it mean Fauve. We learnt about his drawing. Some his pictures were not realistic, it was more big and small shapes. Matisse likes doing all kind of patterns.  I very like the way of his own painting, so far he is my best artist.

Picasso

This is my painting about Picasso he is a famous artist and many people from a round the world know. Our teacher had video of Picasso drawing tips.  We follow his step by step. My one was ok but I still like it. I am looking forward to some painting of different artist.

Art Alive

This term we are learning about Art Alive. We have been looking at other artis, our first person we looked at was Pablo Picasso. Our teacher talk and show us a video that can help us draw like him. His thing was looking from a different prospection. It was cool drawing but sometimes we forget to draw lighting.

After we rotated to room 19 and learned a different style and person. Our model was Oscar claude Monet his art was small stroke and painting with impression. drawing with excrement we had pick a natives things. I pick a shark. I think I could do better.


We learn more fantastic painter and they other style like pattens, dark and light colors.Thank you for reading.

Warriors vs Titan

n a Saturday wet Rainy dark night The warriors was playing against Gold Coast Titan. I was pumped up to watch this game at Mt Smart ground. I couldn't’t wait to watch Shawn Johnson played. Losing against Bulldogs they were ready to beat titan. Out they come supporters cheering and going GO Simon on his 150 game so far.



Kicking off as big packs run up smashing them down. Johnson stepping and tricking the opponents. As warriors score the first try. First half was down and next is coming up. Walking down the dressing room the Titan coach had a good talk but second still came and the warriors still smash them by point.

The game was over and winners was warriors winning by a huge win. As titian was sad.

Camp day one

Waking on a dark rainy day I was still pump up going to camp. I was ready to go and do our first activity.We listen and up we went on computers looking for some basic scones re-pies. We searched and there’s was some good scones but we had to use the ingredients what was there. We found one it was easy one to make. We starting our scones each ingredients by each. All of us took turns. Rolling it the flour down we plot-ed on a tray and of went to the oven. 10 to 15 minutes rush went Carlos and Kobe down to get it, while we cut some potatoes. Our group ates one scones our one was really not nice but others were.

After our eat time we walk and jog to the Pt England beach. We put on our life jacket and listen to the instruction. We Kayak down the shore and back. People that wasn’t kayaking they played with sand and help us out on the water. It was time to go and we had time to swim. We bomb off the rock.

Updating news

With the latest news that was updated by the New Zealand Herald had got me interested by reading it. It titled Family believer. This story takes place way back in 1968, when the mother of Jefferie Hill thought the he was buried
NZ Police and family thinks that he is dead under the hole at backyard of there house. I wounder why is he at the dead out in the backyard. Reading down the story it got my attention read on.

I will link the rest of the story to the New Zealand Herald. You can also read it for your self. It very interesting it has information about the person that die and family how do they feel.

Doctor Ben Carson

With lots of happiness I was really glad to meet Ben Carson. He was a great Doctor, There was a movie that show his life about him and Mum. Also story too it had good details when he was a little kid. My teacher was reading it to the class and I Imagine and picture it in my head. I through that his was fair and sad.

Waiting on the bus laughing and smiling with my friends we crack some joke out to the teachers that was in the bus. Going on Motorway I was tired it was a long trip. As we got there many school was at this stadium, we were one of the largest school around. Off went us going inside.

Taking pics of the inside I said “wooooo” It was big. I sat down it felt nice and calm. When all the school had made it, It was ready to begin. A man stood up and introduce him self and all the staff that help but he especially anuted(Sp) out the man Ben Carson!

Out he came a movie came up and show actors that was talking about him and the movies related to him. He talked for a long while but it help us to follow our dream what we will become when we grow up. He reminded us that we all have spacial talent. Ending this wonderful day off we sang a song that we sing at school. The Duffy song. As I was recording it our school was amazing at singging(sp) and the action.It was time to go. We were lucky en -gong that we got some stack.

News review

I came up to this story on the newspaper and it was interesting but sad A U.S.A 9 year old girl had been made to run for 3 hours for a punishment. She had been snapped for eating chocolate. She was in the school bus and her grandparent found her on the video tape eating. It was horrible for her. She ca-lapsed.

But they found that the grandparent was sent to court for charges. The case is still going on. She die on Monday. While reading it I thought about it. I think this a very unpleasing.
